Association for Blind Children in brief

Association for Blind Children, the support association for visually impaired children, has focused on arranging vacations for the children of visually impaired persons and their families throughout the 2000s. The association’s events have no participation fees. Short vacations are all inclusive and longer vactions are half board. The family is responsible for any car operating costs on the vacation.

The vacations offer new experiences for the families and enable them to spend time in nature. There are various sports, outdoors, culture, and cottage vacation options. Vacations are arranged throughout the year. A maximum of two families will partake in the association’s vacations, and the vacation activities are always planned with the families’ wishes in mind. If needed, guides/helpers and mobility aids for helping you traverse through nature are available. The association also offers cottage vacations you can enjoy with your family. The family is responsible for providing its own food and its preparation.

The association arranges collaboration events as well. Further information can be found from the event calender. You can learn about a new hobby, try out different mobility aids, or get to know about nature with a guide.

The vacations are aimed at visually impaired persons and the families of visually impaired children, where the child is under 16 years of age and the family can benefit from the custom vacation. You can apply for a vacation by filling in the family vacation application.
